WHY HAVE THIS DONE?

Once your collection has been inventoried, you have:

v    Less wasted time looking for things

v    Documentation for safe deposit box, homeowner's insurance, etc.

v    Personal satisfaction in knowing that such a mundane task has been accomplished*

v    A way to know if something's missing (if a location has been created for each item)

v    A place to collect stories of particular pieces that can be passed down to future generations

*Admittedly, inventorying a collection is not a particularly difficult task.  However, if you’ve read this far, I would bet that not only haven’t you done it, but that you have no intentions to do it.
